Career Day 2012 Wrap-Up Career Day 2012 at Paramount Park Middle School attracted presenters from a variety of professions chosen by our counselors Mrs. Flores and Mrs. Melgaard. Presenters included our very own Superintendent of Paramount Unified School District, Dr. David Verdugo, Paramount Adult School Principal, Richard Morgan, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Debra Starks, members of the local police department, and representatives from the City of Paramount Parks and Recreation department to name a few. Make-up artist Richard Miranda really engaged the students by painting a few student faces with wounds he often paints on actors in recent movies. Other professionals included engineers, television producer, probation officer, representatives from the Los Angeles Public Health Office, Air Force recruiter, author and motivational speaker, nurse, therapist, and veterinarian . . . just to name a few others! By the end of the day, students had answers to many of their questions regarding paths they should follow in high school, decisions about college majors, and future career choices. We want to send out a very special Panther “Thank-You” to all of our presenters!! Career Day 2012
